Happy New Year. To celebrate I have reduced many of my items at my etsy shop to make way for the new years designs. With over 200 items in my shop I have to make way for the new. These are one of a kinds and when they are gone they will not be back. If you have watched them and hearted them, grab them now while you can.

I have been inspired by some of the necklaces worn by the ladies in "The View," and some seen on "Sex and the City" as well. If you are purchasing from overseas you won't see yourself in the next room as the components for my pieces are sourced locally.

An exciting new range in shop

The Melbourne bead expo was on last Saturday and I had a wonderful time selecting new beads to create something special from. The weather was unusaually hot so that made things a little unpleasant, but it was still a great day.

I have now listed over 200 items to select from and I think I have catered for all tastes and budgets. I now have charms that are able to be linked onto any item, making them versatile to use.

I am running specials in my shop on and off up until Christmas so please check in regularly.

Australia the lucky country we have such beautiful animals

I have a new range of high quality pewter charms on offer in my store. These feature the unique animals of Australia. There is a Kookaburra, Platapus, Koala, Cockatoo and a gum leaf. Each of these charms have amazing detail down to the last feather on the birds wing. So they are as versatile as possible I have attached each of the charms to a parrot clasp. A silver pewter charm bracelet is also available in my store with all of the charms that I have mentioned. I could not resist creating a piece of jewellery featuring our Australian animals as I adore them so very much. Thius may be the perfect way to start a charm bracelet showing all the countries that you have visited. Or perhaps like me you just adore our native animals.

Weekend Special- lampwork bracelets are reduced

Do you like jewellery that is unique? Starting Friday 2nd of October till Sunday the 4th of October I have discounted the price of my lampwork bracelets. Each of the more expensive bracelets are now $25.00 and the more delicate bracelets are now $15.00. What better time than now to start putting away some christmas gifts for family and friends. Each of these bracelets are unique so you can be sure you won't see them anywhere else. I am slowly uploading more styles to my etsy shop so please keep checking. Changes to Shipping in my store

Due to the extreme weather conditions in Melbourne this weekend there has not been very much for me to do. This being the case I decided to take some time and quietly sit down and go through my entire stock. As I looked through all of my pieces I thought to myself, it is so unfair that some pieces are more expensive to ship than others. So I have decided to do somthing about this issue. I now have a flat rate of shipping across my store of $3.50USD and $4.50USD. I hope that this will make my line of jewellery more affordable to all of my clients.

New range in my shop

I have decided to take my shop in a new direction. As it was so very cold here yesterday what else could I do but sit in the warm and create all new designs? As it is coming up on summer here I thought I need to bring in bright and bold colours. Looking through my stock I noticed I had a stunning enamel seahorse charm. The hardest thing about this design was coming up with a name for my creation, many hours later going through the internet I settled on the title of hippocampus, the scientific name for seahorse.
As a result of this I have decided to launch an entire range of charm necklaces, brooches and other assorted items. I don't know a single person that can't look at a charm in a jewellery shop and not find it stunning, it would appear that charms are not just for bracelets and necklaces anymore. Many of my new pieces that I am creating have swarovski crystals set with them. I have only just begun listing my items in my store, so please check back from time to time to as I begin the process of uploading them. Many of the pieces that I am creating have matching earrings. I know myself I can't go past a matching set. Everyone can always use another pair of earrings! There will be other enamel charms appearing soon.

Shop Special

I am having a shop special at my etsy shop. I am about to introduce my new line of natural gem bracelets. Did you know I have another shop that I share with my Mum. It is called alwaysabridesmade and it can be found at etsy as well. We decided to open this shop because so many people were requesting bridal and formal jewellery and there were no sections available at kikiburrabeads. I hope you like the pieces. We have used the best quality supplies, but have tried to keep the prices affordable.

I had a great time at the bead show and purchased so many new beads, that it will take me many months to turn them into new designs. I am also experimenting with polymer clay as well.

Melbourne Bead Show

My sale has now finished. However many of your favorite pieces can now be found in the $10 and under category. I went to the Melbourne Bead Show last weekend. This event was bigger than I ever imagined it would be. The quality and quantity of merchandise availiable was truely outstanding. You would not think that one event could have so many exhibitors.
Needless to say I picked up some truely remarkable beads and gemstones to create my new line of jewellery. Please start checking my site as I begin the process of designing and uploading my new pieces. I can hardly wait to start!
I was pleased to bits to find in the last week that I had made my first sale on kikiburravictoriana. This shop appears to be gaining a following, this I am most thrilled about. Like kikiburrabeads this shop will soon be getting new designs as well. So stay tuned.

My Sale has been extended

The bead show is on next weekend. I had a look on the internet at the sellers that would be attending. I have seen so much more that I want to purchase. This being the case I have decided to extend my sale as I need to make even more room in my shop.

I have opened a new shop on etsy called kikiburravictoriana. This shop deals with handcrafted vintage originals such as lockets and pendants. I am looking forward to making my first sale.

Custom made jewellery

This was my very first custom order for my website. I was absolutly thrilled to think that someone loved my work enough to have a piece made for themselves. This bracelet was the first one that I had ever made in gold, it took me a little time to find my feet as I did not know which shades of purple would look best together. Finding all the purple beads that were the right size and colour was the greatest challenge of all.
As you can see I finally got my head around the design, it looked amazing and my client adored it!
I hope to make many more bracelets for people like this one in the future. These designs are my one true passion, I am constantly uploading new designs onto my etsy shop. This is what my client said about the piece - After purchasing a bracelet for a friend's birthday (and envying her wearing it), I asked Kristen if she could make me a similar one in different colors. She did, and the results were truly amazing. Not only did she use the colors that I wanted, she also consulted with me as to how I wished the bracelet to be arranged (for placement of the charms). She also let me choose (from several choices) the items I wished to have on the bracelet. Needless to say, the piece is truly "one of a kind" and I absolutely adore wearing it! I always get compliments on it; people want to know where I got it, and when I tell them it was made FOR me, they want to know WHO did it! Kristen's work is genuinely unique. I now have several of her items in my collection, and am sure I will be adding more as time goes by. She is an artist to be appreciated.

End of financial year $10 Sale

The Melbourne bead show is coming in a few weeks and I want to create some new styles from beads and findings I will be purchasing.
